TableBuddy Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TableBuddy by Killer Cat Studios collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. It is written for the current landing site, supporter checkout flow, and local-first TableBuddy app.
Who We Are
TableBuddy is a tabletop RPG campaign and session tool by Killer Cat Studios. You can contact us at support@tablebuddyapp.com.
What We Collect
- Contact and support form information you choose to send, such as your name, email, feedback, support interest, or early-build interest.
- Support payment information from Stripe, such as email, amount, support tier, subscription status, Checkout Session ID, customer ID, and payment status.
- Optional public supporter recognition details, such as a display name or alias, only when you opt in.
- Basic privacy-friendly analytics through Plausible, such as page visits, referrers, button events, and thank-you conversions.
- Local TableBuddy app data, such as campaigns, sessions, PCs, NPCs, prep cards, game notes, and recaps, stored in your browser localStorage for the current local-first playtest app.
TableBuddy does not store full card numbers or bank details. Payment details are handled by Stripe.
How We Use It
- Process support payments and subscriptions.
- Send supporter updates, early-build invites, or roadmap/input polls when you opt in.
- Reply to support messages and feedback.
- Improve TableBuddy and understand whether the landing and supporter pages are working.
- Maintain payment records and help prevent fraud or abuse.
Who Helps Process It
TableBuddy uses service providers to run the site and support flow, including Stripe for payments and subscriptions, Netlify for hosting, serverless functions, and the invite-only Identity access gate, SendGrid or another configured email provider for email delivery, and Plausible for privacy-friendly analytics. These providers process information under their own policies and terms.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not auto-publish supporter names.
- We do not collect or store full payment card details.
- We do not use Netlify Identity as campaign-data sync, and we do not currently store campaign data on an app backend.
Your Choices
- You can unsubscribe from supporter emails.
- You can ask to update or remove optional supporter recognition details.
- You can contact support@tablebuddyapp.com with privacy requests.
- Your local app data is controlled by your browser profile and your exports.
- Exported JSON backups should be treated like sensitive campaign files. They are not encrypted by TableBuddy.
Children, Changes, And Contact
TableBuddy is not directed to children under 13.
This policy may be updated as TableBuddy grows. The latest version will be posted on this page.
